Rising Irish stars among RTS Awards nominees in UK

Irish actors Máiréad Tyers and Éanna Hardwicke are among the nominees for this year's Royal Television Society RTS Programme Awards in the UK.

Tyers is shortlisted in the Comedy Performance - Female category for her starring role in the Disney+ series Extraordinary.

Her fellow Corkonian Hardwicke is nominated in the Supporting Actor - Male category for his performance in the BBC true crime series The Sixth Commandment.

The Graham Norton Show is nominated in the Comedy Entertainment category while BBC Northern Ireland's coverage of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final is shortlisted in the Sports Programme category.

The winners will be announced in London on Tuesday 26 March.

The RTS Ireland Television Awards take place in Dublin on Tuesday 19 March.
