Lindsay Lohan and her co-star brother Dakota have raved about shooting in Ireland for their new movie Irish Wish.
The pair attended a special screening of the rom com in New York last night at the Paris Theatre, alongside the Consul General of Ireland, Helena Nolan, and dancers from Clan na hÉireann Irish Dance School in New York.
The film, which debuts on Netflix on 15 March, was shot on location in Kilruddery House and Lough Tay in Wicklow, Westport Town, and the Cliffs of Moher in Co Clare.
It sees Mean Girls star Lohan (37) play shy book editor Maddie, who puts her feelings aside when the love of her life gets engaged to her best friend.
She attends their wedding in Ireland but just as the pair are set to marry, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love and finds herself in an alternate reality.
Lohan's grandfather Michael is from Galway and she made her first visit to Ireland to make the movie.
Speaking on the Green Carpet at the New York event, Lohan said, "It was incredible. I was so honoured to shoot in Ireland, it was a wonderful experience and they gave us so many beautiful places to film and allowed us to shoot in so many places.
"I would definitely do it again. I told Dakota we would be filming in Ireland and would you please, please, please be part of it?"
Her brother (27) added, "I was over the moon at the opportunity just to do it. I think Ireland is the most beautiful place I've even been to in the world. The people were kind and it’s so green and open and inviting.
"We’re half Irish so it made sense and we look kinda Irish."
The movie also stars Ayesha Curry, Ed Speleers, Elizabeth Tan, Jacinta Mulcahy, Jane Seymour, Dakota Lohan, Matthew McCabe, Maurice Byrne, and Rachel Benaissa.

Speaking previously about the movie, the first of her two-picture creative partnership with Netflix. Lohan said, "It's a nice story of luck and love and confidence."
Lohan is no stranger to the romantic comedy genre but she said her latest project was a new challenge. "Maddie’s [one of the only] characters that I’ve played [who’s] a woman on her own making her way in the world," she said.
"We shaped her in a way that she was a bit more insecure in the beginning, and then she grows throughout the movie, and by the end, she really comes into her own.
"It’s important to put yourself first and know your worth," she adds. "If you know you deserve better, go for it and get it."
Lohan described shooting Irish Wish as convivial and friendly, adding that working with Dakota made the experience all the more enjoyable.
"Whenever I’m with family, I’m really bad at not cracking up for some reason," she says. "I make funny faces when I’m off camera just to mess with them."
Lohan, whose family can trace their roots back to Italy and Ireland, jumped at the chance to explore this side of her heritage.
"Ireland’s so beautiful," she says. "I’d never been, but my grandfather’s from there. We stayed in this little town called Dalkey. The people are so nice, and the Guinness pies were amazing."
