Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I am Annie-Dog. Woof. I am not a real dog. I am a person, born in November, making me a Scorpio (and in turn, very stubborn).
How would you describe your music?
Bittersweet shapeshifting pop music.
Who are your musical inspirations?
Alex G has always inspired me. Crab was the first song of his that I ever heard, and I just fell in love. I've been listening to a lot of Dean Blunt lately too. And of course, I’m always listening to Imogen Heap. I’m really into self- produced artists. It makes their music much more interesting to me.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
It was Hillary Duff in The Point Theatre in 2006, and I remember she was rocking these amazing fingerless, purple-leather gloves the entire night. I was obsessed.
What was the first record you ever bought?
I bought All Saints’ second album, Saints & Sinners, with my birthday money one year. My Mam definitely introduced me to them. Pure Shores soundtracked my childhood.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Hit by The Sugarcubes has been on repeat for a minute now. That song itches my brain and pulls on my heartstrings. I love Björk.
Favourite lyric of all time?
"I am not in love, but I’m open to persuasion." I would hope that everybody knows what song that’s taken from. If you don’t, then do yourself a favour and listen to Love and Affection by Joan Armatrading.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Dum Beet by Vincent Gallo.
Where can people find your music/more information?
Alan Corr
