US actress Kathryn Newton, best known from Big Little Lies and from her turn as Amy in Greta Gerwig's Little Women, has said that she loved her various stints living in Dublin, as she got to play golf every weekend and enjoyed Irish sausage rolls.
The 27-year-old, along with fellow actor Cole Sprouse, was speaking ahead of the cinema release of new comedy-horror, Lisa Frankenstein, in which they both star.
"I love Ireland!" she exclaims. "I just finished a movie there and I lived in Dublin, in Dún Laoghaire, and I did Little Women in Dun Laoghaire.
"It's one of my favourite places ever to film 'cause I played golf every weekend obviously!"
Saying that she is a big golfer, Newton declared herself a "lover of Ireland, and honestly, your sausage rolls are a problem for me."
The actress also recalled "fangirling" over Sprouse when she met him many years ago, when he starred in Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.
Lisa Frankenstein will be in cinemas from 1 March.
