Graham Norton has announced that he is set to leave his weekend Virgin Radio show in the UK.
Speaking on the show this morning, Norton said, "The show isn't quite the normal show today because I have a bit of an announcement to make."
He continued, "I'm leaving weekends here at Virgin Radio. I'll still be kind of popping up on the station from time to time but my regular Saturday and Sundays, I'm stepping away."

Explaining some of the reasoning for the departure, he said, "I've worked weekends between here and the old place [BBC Radio 2] for 13 years and my life has changed a bit and I thought, 'Well, I want my weekends back'."
Saying that his final show would be tomorrow [Sunday], he said that Your Home Made Perfect presenter Angela Scanlon will fill in on the slot for "the next few weeks" before "various announcements" would be made "after that, about people who'll be in front of this microphone keeping you entertained on Saturday and Sunday mornings."
He also thanked his listeners.
He began broadcasting in the 9.30am to 12.30pm timeslot on the radio network in 2021.
Former RTÉ broadcaster Ryan Tubridy recently began a weekday show on the network.
