Actor Russell Crowe has apologised after he included Dublin as one of the dates on his upcoming UK tour with his band the Indoor Garden Party.
The Gladiator star announced the dates on Tuesday but included his Dublin show on 1 July as part of his English visit.

To those who understand…
Cannot believe I lumped the Emeralds with the coal, haha.
Forgive a bloke with too many balls in the air?
We will be there.
On a Monday night.
July 1.
No exorcisms this time, just tunes and pints and stories and I'll know exactly where I am
He has since corrected his mistake after fans good-naturedly pointed out the error.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter on Wednesday, Crowe, who is a bit of Hibernophile, said, "To those who understand… Cannot believe I lumped the Emeralds with the coal, haha. Forgive a bloke with too many balls in the air?
"We will be there. On a Monday night. July 1. No exorcisms this time, just tunes and pints and stories and I'll know exactly where I am."
Parts of Crowe’s recent movie The Pope's Exorcist were filmed in Dublin and Wicklow.
The actor’s faux pas follows singer Noah Kahan making a far more serious geopolitical mistake last January.

The American singer-songwriter, who has spent nine weeks at No 1 in Ireland with his song Stick Season, apologised to his Irish fans after his European tour merchandise was revealed to include a series of patches, including a green one that read "Dublin, UK".
27-year-old Vermont native Kahan apologised on TikTok, saying "To all my Irish fans: I am terribly sorry about the mistake, which you have every right to be offended by.
"I did not make the parches (sic) and did not do my due diligence of checking them thoroughly before they were released on socials."
