The Graham Norton Show, 10.40pm, BBC One

Bit of a star-studded, female-centric sofa tonight as Graham is joined by Jodie Foster, who discusses her role in the latest season of TV drama True Detective: Night Country.

Oscar-winner Olivia Colman (below) talks about her new mystery comedy Wicked Little Letters, while US comedy great Wanda Sykes reflects on her Netflix special I'm an Entertainer.

Plus, doyenne of daytime UK TV Lorraine Kelly discusses her debut novel The Island Swimmer, while Austin Butler and Josh Brolin discuss new sci-fi epic Dune: Part Two.

In the music slot, Calvin Harris and Rag'n'Bone Man deliver a world exclusive performance of their new single Lovers in a Past Life.

New or Returning Shows

Gogglebox, 9.00pm, Channel 4

The armchair critics share their opinions on what they have been watching during the week, with cameras capturing their instant reactions and the lively discussions that are prompted by the week's biggest and best shows.

As ever, it doesn’t really matter what they’re watching – what matters is how they react to it.

Vera, 9.00pm, Virgin Media One

The crime drama, starring Brenda Blethyn (below), returns for a 13th season.

DCI Vera Stanhope is called to a quiet country lane where a young man has been found dead following a collision with a car, but it becomes clear on closer inspection it was not an accident and is more complicated than just a hit-and-run.

Vera discovers the victim is a popular market trader and heads down to his pitch to start to put together an idea of who he was and why anyone would want him dead.

The Last Leg, 10.00pm, Channel 4

Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker (above: centre, left and right) are joined by comedians Rosie Jones and Richard Ayoade for a comic review of the significant moments of the past seven days.

As usual, the hashtag #isitok paves the way for the gang to round up, examine and explain the leading and most entertaining news stories of the week.

When Bob Marley Came to Britain, 9.00pm, BBC Four

With the Bob Marley biopic out this week, here’s a Marley-esque night to enjoy.

It opens with this documentary examining the reggae superstar's relationship with the UK, and how his universal message of One Love and unity helped inspire a generation of young black British people.

The film also takes a revealing look at how Marley spent his time while he was in Britain - the houses he lived in, football kickabouts in Battersea Park - and visits to the UK's growing Rastafarian community, including secret gigs in the north of England

Followed by Bob Marley reimagined (10pm) A concert at Birmingham's Town Hall celebrating the reggae superstar, featuring many of his songs performed by the likes of the Chineke! Orchestra, Bob's grandson Skip Marley, JP Cooper and Ruby Turner.

Finally, there’s Reggae at the BBC at 11pm. Acts include - of course - Bob Marley and the Wailers, as well as Gregory Isaacs, Desmond Dekker, Burning Spear, Althea and Donna, Dennis Brown and Buju Banton.

The most recent action adventure from the MI franchise lands on TV.

Friday Night Soccer, 7.35pm, RTÉ2

It’s Shamrock Rovers v Dundalk (KO 7.45pm) as Peter Collins presents coverage of the match from the opening round of fixtures, held at Tallaght Stadium.

Under the stewardship of Stephen Bradley (above), Rovers won a record-equalling fourth successive title last year. Dundalk will be looking to improve on last term as they finished in fifth place, only the second time they've placed outside the top three since 2012.

The Hoops got things off to winning ways last week at the same venue, with a comfortable 3-1 win against St Patrick’s Athletic in the President’s Cup Final in front of over 8,000 fans.
