Abba’s hit album Waterloo will be reissued alongside a limited edition box set in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
A reissued version of the album will be released on 5 April and will comprise a half-speed mastered 45rpm 2LP vinyl along with a limited edition box set of the three vinyl singles originally released in 1974.
The singles will also be available as separate picture discs. Also available are a unique ten inch vinyl disc featuring Waterloo in four different languages, and a new line of anniversary apparel.
As part of the celebrations, fans will be able to buy tickets to a large Abba-themed silent disco, to be held on the rooftop of London's O2 arena.
Waterloo, the band’s second album, was released in March 1974 and the tracklist includes songs like My Mama Said and Honey, Honey.
The LP's title track is the song that won the Swedish pop group the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974, held at The Dome in Brighton.
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Sweden on the 50th anniversary of the band’s 1974 win after singer Loreen won last year’s competition with her single Tattoo.
Abba member Benny Andersson told BBC Newsnight in May 2023 that there is "no way" the group is going to reunite or even walk on stage together during this year's Eurovision.
"I don't want to. And if I don’t want to, the others won’t," he said. "It’s the same for all four of us. Someone says no - it’s a no," he said.
The popular quartet parted ways after last performing together in 1982 following a hugely successful ten-year stint.
