Alice & Jack, 9.00pm, Channel 4

The much-hyped drama - starring Andrea Riseborough and Domhnall Gleeson, with Aisling Bea and Sunil Patel – finally lands. And continues tomorrow night.

When Alice and Jack first meet up, they are bound by a connection so powerful it seems nothing can break it.

But even at the outset it's unclear whether their path will lead them to a place of happiness and togetherness or if such contentment will be thwarted by emotional complexities getting in the way.

Thus, the 16-year relationship between such imperfect lovers suffers its highs and lows.

Bill Bailey (below) hosts as eight aspiring actors are mentored over six weeks by casting director Kelly Valentine Hendry, working on the sets of some of the UK's best-loved dramas.

They open up in the world of soaps and are given a baptism of fire as they head to EastEnders, the long-running BBC tale of London life.

This is where guest mentor Natalie Cassidy wants to see real emotion on camera as they recreate one of her greatest scenes, when she played Sonia Fowler.

Tonight’s episode sees Neven Maguire in Madeira, touring the Blandy's Wine Lodge and tasting a variety of wine, while learning how to pair it with food.

At The Views Baia Hotel, he learns to make a turbot and fennel recipe, he is also given a tour of Funchal's fish market.

Neven also tries a traditional Portuguese beef sandwich and cooks a mushroom and leek strudel with madeira wine sauce.

Ben Mendelsohn stars as Christian Dior, Juliette Binoche plays Coco Chanel, along with Maisie Williams, John Malkovich and Emily Mortimer in this new drama.

The series depicts Christian Dior in Paris after World War II when he created his fashion line that unofficially got named New Look.

Love is Blind, Netflix
