Love Songs at the BBC: Volume 3, 8.35pm, BBC Two
This selection of performances of love songs from the BBC's music archives opens a night of love-related music on BBC Two.
It could be the perfect backdrop to a romantic evening at home, ahead of St Valentine's Day next Wednesday.
It includes classics by The Carpenters (below), the Three Degrees, Simply Red, Meatloaf and Sting, as well as some 21st-century songs to swoon to from Rihanna and Harry Styles.
That’s followed at 9.35pm by Heartbreakers at the BBC: Volume 2, a collection of songs from the BBC archives that will deliver heartache but also the chance to experience more of the greatest sad songs.
Featuring the likes of Sade, the Righteous Brothers, Toni Braxton, Lewis Capaldi and many more who hit the charts while breaking people's hearts
Then at 10.35pm there’s Love Songs at the BBC: Volume 2, a repeat of a previous compilation of performances of love songs from the BBC's music archives, including the sounds of Nat King Cole, Shania Twain, Billy Joel, Ed Sheeran and many more.

The Masked Singer, 7.15pm, Virgin Media One
The remaining five disguised celebrities take to the stage in the semi-final as Lorraine Kelly (below) joins regular panellists Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan try to guess their identities.
It's also a double elimination, so at the end of the show two contenders will be unmasked, leaving three to compete in the final.
As usual, the show is hosted by Joel Dommett.
The Weakest Link: News and Current Affairs Special, 7.50pm, BBC One
Romesh Ranganathan (below) hosts a news and current affairs special.
Louise Minchin, Nina Nannar, Michael Buerk, John Sergeant, Romilly Weeks, Jenni Murray, Calum Leslie and Shanequa Paris will be trying to win up to £50,000 for their individual chosen charity.
Round by round, one player will be voted the weakest link by their fellow contestants and will leave with nothing. One player will be crowned the strongest link and will take home the prize for their cause.
Parkinson: The Interviews, 10.20pm, BBC Four
This run of Parky highlights is pretty much essential viewing. They just don’t make chat shows like this anymore.
This week’s episode focuses on two more memorable guests with the gift of the gab.
Tonight, Michael Parkinson reflects on when he met legendary US comedians Walter Matthau (above) and George Burns, in highlights from this 1976 interview, Matthau and Burns spin their unique brand of humour.
Saturday Cinema
Mary Queen of Scots, 9.30pm, RTÉ2
Director Josie Rourke's historical drama, starring Saoirse Ronan, Margot Robbie and David Tennant.
Following the death of her husband, Queen Mary returns to Scotland after years reigning in France. Despite religious differences, she hopes to achieve peace with her English cousin, Queen Elizabeth I.
But Mary Stuart's eventual attempt to overthrow Elizabeth finds her condemned to years of imprisonment.
Mission: Impossible 2, 6.55pm, Channel 4
Here’s a right Saturday evening people-pleaser: John Woo's action thriller sequel, starring Tom Cruise, Dougray Scott, Thandiwe Newton and Anthony Hopkins.
This time around, the Cruiser's secret agent Ethan Hunt is sent to find and destroy the only sample of a deadly man-made virus.
Naturally, he faces tough opposition in a former spy-turned-criminal mastermind who has already acquired the cure and now wants the pathogen itself.
Family Flick
Dennis the Menace, 1.00pm, RTÉ2
Slapstick comedy based on the Hank Ketcham comic strip (and not the Beano character), starring Walter Matthau (who can also be seen tonight on the Parkinson interviews on BBC Four), Mason Gamble, Joan Plowright, Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson.
A well-meaning little boy with an inability to stay out of trouble is the bane of his curmudgeonly neighbour, Mr Wilson – played with typical grumpiness by Matthau.
But when a thief steals Wilson's coin collection, the tiny terror seizes the chance to make amends and come to his neighbour’s rescue.

Live: Guinness Six Nations, 1.30pm, Virgin Media One/1.15pm, BBC One
Today’s Six Nations action begins with Scotland v France (KO 2.15pm) at Murrayfield.
France won 32-21 when the teams met in Paris during last year's competition and also won 36-17 at this ground en route to a 2022 Grand Slam.

However, Scotland claimed a 25-21 win at this venue when the nations faced each other in a World Cup warm-up fixture last August.
Next up, at 4.15pm on RTÉ2 it’s England v Wales (KO 4.45pm), which takes place at Twickenham.
England claimed a 20-10 victory when the sides met at Principality Stadium in last year's competition.
Jacqui Hurley presents, with analysis from Jamie Heaslip, Hannah Tyrrell and Stephen Ferris, and commentary by Hugh Cahill and Jerry Flannery.
Saturday GAA Live, 7.15pm, RTÉ2
Today’s top game sees Cork (below) host Kilkenny (throw-in 7.30pm) and Joanne Cantwell presents all the action from the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match at Páirc Uí Chaoimh aka the Super Valu stadium.
These teams met in the semi-finals last year, with Kilkenny claiming victory but losing out to Limerick in the final.
With analysis from Donal Óg Cusack and Jackie Tyrrell, and commentary by Marty Morrissey and Brendan Cummins.
Also today, there’s GAA Beo at 4.30pm on TG4 which features Wexford v Offaly (throw-in 5.00pm).
Micheál Ó Domhnaill introduces coverage of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match at Chadwicks Wexford Park.
