Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I come from a Brazilian-Angolan background. This played a big part in the development of my sound, as it cultivated my curiosity and interest in Afro and Brazilian/Latino music. As a child, I used to play the saxophone and fiddle. I'm a very detailed person, in other words, a chatterbox. So, I’ve been told.

How would you describe your music?

My music is rooted in R `n’ B, infused with the elements of other genres, such as Afrobeat, pop and hip-hop.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Alicia Keys, Ella Mai and Tems.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

The first gig I went to was Jyellowl in Dublin 2021.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Destiny’s Child’s The Writing's on the Wall but this was a gift. Every single record I have was gifted to me, mostly by my dad.

What’s your favourite song right now?

40 Days - Tamera ft. CKay.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"Nothing Comes close to-what we had it perseveres" - Don't forget About Us by Mariah Carey.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Doesn’t Mean Anything by Alicia Keys.

Where can people find your music/more information?

You can find my music across several streaming platforms like Spotify and iTunes once my debut is released.

Alan Corr
