Tallaght rapper Curtisy will release his debut album What Was The Question? this May.

Curtisy is quickly solidifying his position as one of the leaders of a new wave in Irish hip hop alongside his collaborators Ahmed, with Love, TXPE_EATER, Rory Sweeney, hikii and others.

With inspirations including Wiki and Earl Sweatshirt, he has carved a niche for himself as a stylist of vibrant and lush abstract hip hop, with live shows carrying a DIY punk energy.

He began his music career during lockdown in 2020 by uploading tracks onto SoundCloud and has since been championed by Irish hip hop act Kojaque, who featured on Curtisy's track Men on a Mission.

Curtisy performed at the Artists Against Homelessness in aid of Focus Ireland in 2022 at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin, Otherside Festival, Electric Picnic, joining Alex Gough on tour, playing his London debut supporting Kean Kavanagh at The Courtyard Theatre.

Last October, he appeared alongside Aby Coulibaly, Bricknasty and Negro Impacto on a compilation album released by All City Records celebrating the growth of Ireland’s hip-hop scene.

What Was The Question?, which will be released on Dublin Vinyl, includes the new single Lower Your Hopes and the album is available to pre-order here, along with merch and ticket bundles here, while a limited-edition Spice Bag art prints are also available.
