The trailer for Baltimore, based on the true story of Provisional IRA member Rose Dugdale, has been released ahead of the film's arrival in Irish cinemas next month.
Directed by Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor (Rose Plays Julie, The Future Tense, Helen) and starring Imogen Poots (Vivarium, Green Room) and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Love/Hate, The Infiltrator), Baltimore receives its Irish premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival on Friday 23 February.
The synopsis for Baltimore reads: "Debutante Rose Dugdale (Imogen Poots) enjoys a life of wealth and privilege, but her rebellious nature soon leads her down a militant path.
"Amongst the political turmoil of the 1970s, her sympathy towards the IRA's conflict evolves into radicalisation, culminating in an armed raid on an Irish estate with three comrades.
"However, when her simple heist turns violent, is Rose prepared to face the devastating consequences?"
Baltimore also stars Lewis Brophy, Jack Meade, Patrick Martins, Dermot Crowley, Andrea Irvine, John Kavanagh, Flynn Gray, Martha Breen, Carrie Crowley, Simon Coury and Vanessa Ifediora.
Backed by Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland in association with Coimisiún na Meán and RTÉ, among others, Baltimore opens in Irish cinemas on Friday 22 March.
