Netflix has released a short teaser clip from the upcoming second season of their smash-hit show, Squid Game.
The dark drama series first landed on the streaming platform in September 2021 and became an instant global hit, becoming Netflix's most watched series of all time.
Set in South Korea, it tells the story of a secret contest where 456 players, who are in financial hardship, risk their lives to play a series of deadly children's games for the chance to win a prize worth €32 million.
The streaming platform has released a short clip from the new season, saying that that the show will return sometime this year.

He tells the voice: "I wanna know who you people are and how you can do these horrible things to people."
The new 17-second trailer suggests that season two will carry on exactly from where series one left off, as Seong is still in the airport and is seen wearing the same suit.
The caller tells him, "You'll regret your decision", and he responds, "I will find you. No matter what it takes."
The series also inspired a spin-off game show, Squid Game: The Challenge.
