Funeral details have been announced for the reality TV star and former model Lisa Murphy following her death at the age of 51.

Ms Murphy passed away on Thursday after a long illness.

Her funeral will take place in the Church of St John the Evangelist in her native Ballinteer, Dublin, on Tuesday 6 February, followed by burial in Mount Venus Cemetery.

Lisa Murphy was known for appearing on the Irish reality series Dublin Wives, which was broadcast on TV3 in 2012 and 2013.

She starred in two seasons of the show alongside Danielle Meagher, Jo Jordan, Roz Flanagan and Virginia Macari.

The Irish celebrity was previously engaged to Riverdance star Michael Flatley, but they split after six years together in 2006.

She was also in a decade-long relationship with solicitor Gerald Kean, which ended in 2016.

Gerald Kean said he was "devastated" to hear of Lisa Murphy's passing.

He told RTÉ Entertainment: "Lisa was a truly wonderful lady with whom I shared a lot of happy times over the years."

Lisa Murphy's Dublin Wives co-star Roz Flanagan paid tribute to her late friend on Instagram, writing: "She was a beautiful person inside and out. I feel so blessed to have called her my friend and I am forever Grateful for the precious times we spent together. May she rest in peace."

Miss World winner Rosanna Davison said she had "great memories" of Lisa Murphy, describing her as "a really kind, bubbly, fun, really sweet woman".

Entrepreneur Michael Mulcahy was also among those paying tribute on Instagram.

He wrote: "It is with great sadness that Jonathan and I learned this morning of the very sad passing of our beautiful friend and Best Lady at our wedding in 2014, Lisa Murphy."

He described her as "a beautiful lady in every way, genuine, kind and so lovely".

"Lisa and our wonderful friend Gerald Kean were our Best Man and Best Lady at our wedding on June 20th 2014 and have been two of our best friends forever. Rest gently our beautiful darling," he added.

Model Holly Carpenter wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that she was "very shocked" to hear the news and described Lisa Murphy as "so sweet, polite and kind natured".
