Ernest is an Australian Folk Artist of the Year Award 2023 nominee and his guitar skills and rhythmic stomp box have drawn comparisons to Ray LaMontagne, Bon Iver, Jeff Buckley and, on more recent releases, Nick Drake.

Rising star Lorraine blends trad, folk and blues inspired by Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Carole King, fused with contemporary influences like Norah Jones, Gillian Welsh, Billie Marten, Lucy Rose, Gabrielle Aplin and Laura Marling.

"I am absolutely thrilled to be sharing my first ever tour of Ireland with such a dynamic songstress as Lorraine," Aines says. "We are set to have some incredible shows."

Lorraine Nash

Lorraine adds, "I'm so excited to be sharing a stage with such a talented artist in the Australian folk scene. I can't wait to show Ernest around Ireland before he returns the favour in Oz!"

Lorraine is set to play Australia's prestigious Port Fairy Folk Festival in March, Nannup Music Festival in Western Australia, and the Blue Mountains Folk Festival in NSW and regional Victoria’s Yackandandah Folk Festival.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I’m a secret basketball buff and have played In Melbourne since I was 14. I studied nutrition at University. I only ever dance when no one’s watching.

How would you describe your music?

I would describe my music as a fusion and a mix between Fleetwood Mac, Peter Gabriel and Brian Wilson because they all made the music they wanted to make and weren’t moulded by trends.
