Behind the music - Chiral

Chiral
Chiral

Self-styled "wicked four-piece Irish renegades" Chiral have released their new song, I Bring Chaos. We asked vocalist Adam Brewer the BIG questions . . .

Listen to I Bring Chaos here.

The punk, metal, rock, and dance band were formed in early 2023 by Adam and guitarist, producer and sound engineer Gary Duncan.

They were later joined by drummer Eddie "Graveyard" Delaney and bassist Al "Bluster Bhoy" Tierney.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

1. I.

2. Bring.

3. Chaos.

How would you describe your music?

I think the paragraph from our band bio, best answers this one. "Imagine Therapy? and Faith No More plotting chaos in a dimly lit alley, while Tool, RATM, The Prodigy and Deftones, exchange conspiratorial nods."

Who are your musical inspirations?

Between each of the members of Chiral, we have a vast pool of influences we collectively and individually pull inspiration from so a list could go on forever…. However, the bands listed in previous answer would definitely be the place where we all intersect. From The Beatles to The Prodigy

What was the first gig you ever went to?

In the early 90s, Smashing Pumpkins on the Siamese Dream tour, two nights at the SFX Dublin. I got to experience both nights.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Guns N' Roses - Appetite For Destruction, on tape.

What's your favourite song right now?

I'm a huge Mike Patton fan and I've been playing a lot of his side projects lately. So right now, these songs have been getting a lot of spins. Peeping Tom - We're Not Alone. Tomahawk - God Hates a Coward.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"This body holding me reminds me of my own mortality. Embrace this moment, remember, we are eternal, all this pain is an illusion." - Parabola by Tool.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Midlife Crisis - Faith No More.
