It's Movie Week on Dancing with the Stars and it’s time to announce the blockbuster performances fans can look forward to from the top ten this Sunday.

Off the back of Barbie's multiple Oscar nominations yesterday, drag superstar, Blu Hydrangea will take on the title role when she performs a Salsa to Dua Lipa’s Dance the Night with her pro partner, Simone Arena.

2FM presenter, Laura Fox and her partner, Denys Samson will perform a Viennese Waltz to Somewhere Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz.

There may be "no place like home" but that's the last place this pair want to go.

There’ll be lots of Nineties' nostalgia on offer too. After his breathtaking performance last week, paralympic athlete Jason Smyth will take on role of Edward Scissorhands with the first Rumba of the season alongside his partner, Karen Byrne to the Tom Jones’ hit With These Hands.

Wild Youth singer, David Whelan and pro dancer Salome Chachua will be hoping to continue their consistent high scores as they recreate the iconic John Travolta and Uma Thurman dance from Pulp Fiction to You Can Never Tell/Misirlou.

After dancing to a Beyoncé track last week, TV presenter, Katja Mia and her partner Ervinas Merfeldas will take on another legendary diva in the form of Whitney Houston when she dances Paso Doble to Queen of the Night from The Bodyguard.

There’ll be lots on offer for little ones too as TikTok star, Miriam Mullins and her partner, Montel Hewson dance the Cha-Cha-Cha to Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop the Feeling from Trolls.

Fair City actor, Shane Quigley Murphy dances Quickstep to Mr Blue Sky from last year’s Summer smash, The Super Mario Bros. Movie alongside his partner, Laura Nolan.

Hoping her Contemporary Ballroom will leave her in wonderland, former Miss World, Rosanna Davison, will become Alice while pro partner, Stephen Vincent, becomes the Mad Hatter when they dance to Pink’s Just like Fire from Alice Through the Looking Glass.

Eileen Dunne

Champion jockey, Davy Russell and his partner, Kylee Vincent will be going to a galaxy far, far away with a Star Wars-inspired Charleston to the Star Wars Theme/Cantina Band.

Legendary newsreader Eileen Dunne will be channeling her inner Cher with a Tango to her version of Abba’s Super Trouper from Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

And there it is! Fans can expect a night filled with excitement, drama, and sizzling performances inspired by the silver screen.

The glitz, glamour, and nail-biting competition will all unfold as Dancing With the Stars continues on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player next Sunday, January 28 at 6:30pm.
