Galway songwriter, singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist Adrian Crowley and musician, composer, academic and curator Matthew Nolan and guests play Fumbally Stables, Dublin on 19 January. We asked Matthew the BIG questions . . .

The show will feature Damian Lennon, a founder member and composer with Zeropunkt, on bass, composer Hugh O'Neill on trumpet and Dublin-based artist, writer and musician Sharon Phelan on electronics, with Adrian on mellotron and loops and Matthew on electric guitar and synth.
Matthew has worked on commissions from a range of prestigious performing arts institutions, including the National Gallery of Ireland, BAM and the Film at Lincoln Centre in New York.
The ever-prolific Adrian has been nominated three times for the Choice Music Prize and won the award in 2010 for his album, Season of The Sparks.

I sometimes think I worry too much! Although I do occasionally think I don't worry enough! See above, it’s all I got.
How would you describe your music?
Loud. Quiet. Really quiet. Loudish. Noisy. Occasionally, all/some of the above…
Who are your musical inspirations?
Joy Division, Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem and the good folk I regularly collaborate with.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
A-House in The Underground on Dame Street in the long, long, long ago.
What was the first record you ever bought?
That’s between me and my confessor. However, my first LP (vinyl) was Psychocandy by the Jesus and Mary Chain.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Undear Sphere by Adrian Crowley and Marry Waterson.
Favourite lyric of all time?
