The long-running procedural returns for a 27th season.
John Hannah guest stars as Nikki and Jack (Emilia Fox and David Caves) investigate a murder bearing all the hallmarks of a notorious serial killer.
When Nikki meets the pathologist (played by Hannah) who conducted the original post-mortems, she discovers his wife was the suspected fifth victim of the serial killer, but nobody believed him when he claimed to know where to find her body.

Dr Michael Mosley uncovers the truth behind the UK’s health (or lack of it!) by looking into what goes into British shopping trolleys.
In this first episode, he meets a lorry driver on medication to control his blood pressure and cholesterol and his wife Rebecca, who works in the NHS and can't shake, or explain, her constant fatigue.
Michael goes undercover at the checkout, to discover what they're buying, before overhauling the couple's diet.

Stolen: Catching the Art Thieves, 8.00pm, BBC Two
Documentary featuring first-hand accounts of Europe's most daring art heists, beginning with the theft of JMW Turner's Shade and Darkness and Light and Colour in 1994 from the Schirn gallery (below) in Frankfurt.
The paintings were on loan from the London's Tate and the invetsigation into the heist led to a high-stakes game of cat and mouse across Europe, from London to Belgrade deep into the world of Serbian warlords.
24 Hours in Police Custody: Murder on Camera, 9.00pm, Channel 4
Part one of a two-part special revealing the story behind a brutal double murder, when one man is found dead in the road outside a pub while another has multiple stab wounds.
Despite both men being pronounced dead at the scene, no one in the close-knit community of Houghton Regis has so far come forward to reveal who is responsible.
Brits Down Under, 10.00pm, Channel 4
Intrepid young backpacking Brits head deep into the Australian Outback for some intense manual labour so they can earn an extension to their working holiday visa.
Farmer Grant and his Spanish partner Maeva provide accommodation for the backpackers and Grant finds them paid work on local farms.
First, Grant puts them to the test on the farm to see what they're capable of and if they're suitable – or not - for sending to work.

It's a classic David v Goliath English cup clash as third tier Wigan Athletic host Manchester United (KO 8.15pm).
Mark Pougatch presents all the action from the third-round tie at DW Stadium, where League One side Wigan aim to cause an upset against Erik ten Hag's side.
The Latics lifted this trophy in the 2012/13 season, and while a repeat seems unlikely, they will hope to cause problems tonight for the 12-time cup-winners.
