Carol senses that Hayley is withholding information about her plot to bring down James in Tuesday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
Hayley is determined to destroy her fiancé for conspiring to kidnap Hayley's mother Sharon - the botched abduction saw Carol taken instead.
But the tension is rising in Hayley and Carol's friendship because the revenge plan isn't moving fast enough for Carol's liking.
On Tuesday, Carol tells Hayley: "I have waited long enough to get him banged up. So you stop messing me around and tell me what you've got!"
