Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach have confirmed that they got married this week.
The Hollywood power couple met in 2010 while filming Greenberg, and became romantically involved 12 years ago, getting engaged in 2020.
The Barbie film makers share two sons together: Harold, born in March 2019, and another son born in February 2023.
Barbie grossed $1bn at the box office, making Gerwig the first female director to do so.
The couple have collaborated together throughout their careers before Barbie with Frances Ha in 2012 and Mistress America in 2015, both of which they co-wrote.
Gerwig made her directorial debut on 2017's acclaimed coming-of-age drama Lady Bird, which starred Saoirse Ronan.
She earned two Oscar nominations for best director and best original screenplay, becoming only the fifth woman in history to score a best director nod.
Baumbach has been nominated for a best original screenplay Oscar for his 2005 film The Squid and the Whale.
Barbie is causing a stir already at 2024's award season, with 18 nominations for the 29th annual Critics Choice Awards, taking place Sunday 14 January in Los Angeles and nine nominations for the Golden Globes, which takes place Sunday 7 January.
