Dublin fourpiece Wine Mom have released their debut single, Blood Moon, and play the Workman's Club, Dublin on 20 December. We asked bassist Millie Moloney the BIG questions . . .

Wine Mom are inspired by funk, soul and old-school rock and consist of frontwoman Rosanna Harrington (22, from Dublin), Matthew Marshall (26, from Galway) on lead guitar, Millie (20, Dublin) on bass and Reese Martin (26, Dublin) on drums.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

We're all college students, (three music, one film). Sold out our first ever gig headlining. Currently working on an EP.

How would you describe your music?

Wine Mom is a nostalgic love letter to 70s pop rock that echoes the likes Fleetwood Mac and Wings.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Doobie Brothers, Grateful Dead, ABBA, Steely Dan, Amy Winehouse, Fleetwood Mac.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Westlife.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Nashville Skyline by Bob Dylan.

What's your favourite song right now?

Ventura Highway - America.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"Kathy, I'm lost, I said, though I knew she was sleeping. I'm empty and aching, and I don't know why" - America by Simon & Garfunkel.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

My Favourite Things - John Coltrane.
