Imelda May has paid tribute to the late Sinéad O'Connor on what would have been her 57th birthday.
May, who was "good friends" with O'Connor, shared a special tribute on Instagram to the Nothing Compares To You singer.
Sharing a picture of herself with O'Connor and Victoria Mary Clarke at Shane MacGowan's 60th celebration on Instagram, May wrote: "Happy Birthday Sinéad. We send Shane off to join you today. What a day for Ireland. How blessed we were to have had such giants in our midst."
O'Connor died in July at her home in London. Recalling their friendship at the time May said: "Sinéad was a good friend of mine and she got me through some tough times.
"We'd FaceTime each other with a cup of tea in our dressing gowns, and whinge about what we needed to whinge about and laugh about what we needed to laugh about. I’ll really miss her and I’ll miss those phone calls."
