Portrait Artist Of The Year 2023 – 7pm & 8pm, Sky Arts
It's a double bill of artsy delight tonight as the final episodes of the tenth series of the popular painting competition airs.

Series presenters Joan Bakewell and Stephen Mangan

Firstly there’s the finale, where three artists battle it out for a place in the final as they paint presenter Joan Bakewell.

Following that comes a special bonus episode as we watch the winner embark on their £10,000 (€11,670) prize commission to create a portrait of English primatologist and anthropologist Dr Jane Goodall for the National Portrait Gallery.

My Life with the Walter Boys – Netflix, available to stream from today

This series is billed as a heart-warming coming-of-age story that follows recently-orphaned Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez), a teenage girl from Manhattan who relocates to rural Colorado after she is taken in by the Walters, a family of ten sons.

Based on the 2014 book by Ali Novak and starring Sarah Rafferty, who is best known as Donna in US legal drama Suits.

Neven's Christmas at Adare – 8pm, RTE One
There’s few things more Christmassy than watching chef Neven Maguire and his annual Christmas specials and he prepares a festive feast in the majestic setting of Adare Manor, Co Limerick.

In this first Christmas special, the Cavan superchef prepares Dublin Bay prawn spring rolls with mango salsa.

He'll also demonstrate the dream technique for turkey breast with citrus butter, honey glazed ham sides including mashed potato, brussel sprouts, red onion and bacon crumble, and honey glazed carrots.

Rounding off the festive feast is a chocolate baked alaska.

Mary Makes It Easy – 7.30pm, BBC Two
Mary Berry joins Big Brother presenter AJ Odudu on a local allotment to teach her the joy of stress-free cooking.

Odudu tried her hand at dishes including a tiger prawn coriander courgetti and a rich aubergine bhuna.

And now for something completely different. This new documentary series explores the day-to-day operations of four Irish regional airports, as told through the intimate stories of the passengers and the airport staff responsible for their safety - as well as keeping each vital airport alive.
