Beyond The Pale festival announces 29 new acts

Soulwax, Romy, Richie Hawtin, The Scratch, Alvvays, and SHG are among nearly 30 new acts announced for the Beyond The Pale festival Glendalough Estate, Wicklow next 21 to 25 June.

Belgian electronic act Soulwax, Grammy-nominated xx front-woman Romy, techno star Richie Hawtin, New York hip-hop legends The Sugarhill Gang, Canada's Alvvays and Australia’s Courtney Barnett will all be playing their first Irish shows since the pandemic at the festival.

Trip-hop pioneers Thievery Corporation will also be bringing their live show to Glendalough.

Tickets on sale from 10am this Friday 8 December here.

They join the already announced Jungle and multi–Mercury Prize and six-time BRIT nominee Jessie Ware.

Among the Irish acts announced are trad-metal fusionists The Scratch, folk Singer John Francis Flynn, Belfast producer and DJ David Holmes, singer and composer Rachael Lavelle, Ailbhe Reddy, and electronic pop duo 49th & Main from Kilkenny.

Instrumental post-rock act The Redneck Manifesto and Dublin guitar manglers Gilla Band also play next year’s Beyond The Pale.

UK-Nigerian singer and musician Obongjayar, London-based instrumental producer Catching Flies and Holly Walker, the singer-songwriter whose tracks with Maribou State have reached huge audiences recently, also play the event.
