Take That's new album This Life has debuted on the Irish albums chart at number one as the band prepare to take part in a special appearance on tonight's Late Late Show.

This marks the band's sixth number one album in Ireland following Nobody Else (1995), Greatest Hits (1996), Beautiful World (2006), The Circus (2008) and Progress (2010).

To mark the success of their latest release, the band are due to appear on The Late Late Show tonight for a Take That special which will include a special in-studio performance and a sit-down chat with host Patrick Kielty.

Speaking about topping the album chart in Ireland, the band said: "What a treat to find ourselves at the top of the Official Irish Album Charts for the 6th time.

"We'd like to thank everyone for supporting This Life and for all they've done for us over the years. Our focus now turns to the tour, and we cannot wait to bring the show to Ireland next year."

In 2024, Take That will hit the road with their new show, This Life on Tour, playing 41 dates across Ireland and the UK.

They play sold out gigs at Dublin's 3Arena on 22 and 23 April, Cork's Musgrave Park on 20 June and Belfast's Ormeau Park on 22 June. There are still some tickets available for the date at Dublin's Malahide Castle on 21 June.
