Ireland's Junior Eurovision hopeful Jessica McKean heads to France for grand final

Ireland's Junior Eurovision hopeful Jessica McKean was pictured in Dublin Airport on Sunday as she headed to Nice, France, for the grand final of the competition next week.

The Donegal singer, who at 10-years-old is the youngest Irish representative to take part in Junior Eurovision, has said she is "excited" to be representing her country in the competition.

The Lifford star, who won her first Feis competition at three years of age, will be singing a song called Aisling at the grand final.

In 2022, Sophie Lennon came fourth in the competition in Yerevan, Armenia, with her song Solas, marking Ireland's best achievement to date at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest will broadcast live on TG4 on 26 November 2023 at 3pm.
