Speaking about their upcoming global jaunt, Green Day said, "We’ve never been more excited to unleash new music than with Saviors, a record that’s meant to be rocked live, together. So, let’s thrash. We’ve got some amazing friends who are coming along for the ride!"
The band have also released new track Look Ma, No Brains! from their new and 14th album Saviors, which is out on 19 January.
Green Day, who formed in California in 1987, played their first ever Irish show in December 1991 in tiny Dublin quayside venue The Attic with support from Dog Day.
