Fresh from vamping it up with the Rolling Stones last week in New York, Lady Gaga joined another bunch of veteran rockers when she performed three songs with U2 last night at Sphere in Las Vegas.
Gaga and Bono sang her song Shallow from the hit movie A Star is Born and two U2 songs, All I Want Is You and I Still Haven't Found What I’m Looking For in a surprise appearance at the band’s run of shows at the three billion-dollar venue.
Introducing her as a guest, Bono said, "the most audacious, vivacious woman in any room she’s ever in. Would you welcome to our turntable, the divine - the divinyl! - Lady Gaga."
In the middle of I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, Bono shouted, "Take it to the Elvis chapel!" and told Gaga she was "the vestal virgin of Las Vegas!"
Their duet of All I Want Is You from U2’s 1988 album Rattle and Hum segued into Shallow.
Gaga finished up her own Vegas shows earlier this month when she wrapped up an extension of her long-running Jazz & Piano residency at Dolby Live in Park MGM.
Last week, Gaga joined the Rolling Stones for a performance of Sweet Sounds of Heaven at the 500-capacity Racket club in Chelsea, New York.
She sings the epic number with Mick Jagger on the Stones’ new album, Hackney Diamonds.
Gaga previously performed with U2 when she sang Ordinary Love with U2 at Madison Square Garden in 2015.
The band recently announced that they will now play an extra 11 shows in January and February of 2024 during their acclaimed Sphere residency.
