Amanda Abbington has quit Strictly Come Dancing, the programme has confirmed.
It Takes Two, the companion programme to the popular dance show, confirmed the departure on Monday, with presenter Fleur East reading an official statement.
The statement said, "Amanda Abbington is unable to continue in Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition.
"The show wishes her all the best for the future."
The show posted the same statement on its official Instagram page.
Abbington did not take part in last Saturday night's show for medical reasons but was expected to return to screens later this week.
The British stage and screen actress is known from Netflix drama Safe, as well as Mr Selfridge and Sherlock.

She was paired with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice, who uploaded a photo of the pair wearing Christmas outfits to his Instagram page in the wake of the news.
The post read: "Amanda... I am so sad we can't continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love."
Meanwhile, Strictly contestant and Irish TV and radio presenter Angela Scanlon wrote on the show's post, "So gutted. We love you @amanda_abbington74 xx" alongside a broken-hearted emoji.
In her last appearance on the show, Abbington scored 31 for a foxtrot to Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac with judge Motsi Mabuse saying she enjoyed that they took the time to show the "beauty of the movement".
