Fleetwood Mac at the BBC, 8.25pm, BBC Two

The Fleetwood Mac night kicks off with some archive performances by the band.

It charts their development from a blues band performing Albatross and Oh Well in the 1960s under founder members Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood, to pop rock stars in the 1980s with the line-up who recorded their seminal 1977 album Rumours.

There are also archive interviews and solo performances from band members Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie as they went their own way at various points in their careers.

That’s followed by Fleetwood Mac: Don't Stop at 9.30pm, a documentary looking back over the band's long career.

Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks reveal the truth behind the successes, failures and relationships that characterised their music.

After Later... with Jools Holland (10.30pm, which includes Take That) there’s Fleetwood Mac: The Dance (11.15pm).

It’s a 1997 live performance by the most successful line-up of the band - Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Christine McVie.

The night concludes with Fleetwood Mac: A Musical History (1am), where Edith Bowman narrates a celebration of the group, with celebrity admirers.

The holders showed they are a force to be reckoned again this time around when they eliminated the much-fancied hosts after edging a pulsating quarter-final 29-28.

England also had to work hard for their place in the last four, with Fiji fighting back from 24-10 down to level the match, before Steve Borthwick's men edged them out 30-24.
