Storyland, the initiative to develop and showcase local TV drama, will air three new standalone productions on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player for the next three Thursday nights.
The season kicks off with Wrapped on Thursday 19 October, followed by The Cousin on 26 October and Falling for the Life of Alex Whelan on 2 November.
Wrapped, which was developed as a stage play that premiered at the Dublin Fringe Festival, follows Ali and Lisa, two best friends and first time drug smugglers who are trying to get through airport security with thousands of euro worth of cocaine strapped to their bodies.
The 25 minute drama starring Ella Lily Hyland (Fifteen Love) and Lauryn Canny (Normal People, Dating Amber) explores the complexity of co-dependent relationships and intense female friendships.
It was written by Tracy Martin and directed by Mia Mullarkey for Pipedream Productions and Alfonso Films.
The Cousin, from writer and director Stevie Russell, follows young artist Dan (Adam Lennon-Collery), who submits an installation project to a prestigious art college.
When his application is successful he has an opportunity to escape a predetermined life path, but first he needs to sit down and get his cousin's blessing.
Newcomer Adam Lennon-Collery stars alongside established talent such as Fionn Ó Liongsigh (What Richard Did, Cardboard Gangsters) and Sharon Mannion (Bridget & Eamon, Prosperity).

Falling for the Life of Alex Whelan, based on the short story by award-winning author Yan Ge, follows a young Chinese girl who meets the guy of her dreams at a film club in Dublin, only to find out the next day that he has died under mysterious circumstances.
She sets out on a mission to discover the truth, unable to shake the feeling that something special is now forever lost.
It stars Lila Coleman (Normal People), Chris Walley (The Young Offenders), David Rawle (Moone Boy) and Screen Daily 2023 Rising Star, Patrick Martins.
