Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer to play Dublin in 2024

US bands The Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer are set to play the 3Arena in Dublin in June next year.

Tickets for this dream double bill are priced from €69.50 including booking fees and go on sale this Friday at 10am via Ticketmaster.

Chicago band Smashing Pumpkins last played Ireland in 2008 when they performed in the RDS as part of their 20th anniversary tour.

The band, who play a mix of metal, goth, psychedelia and electronica, have scored huge hits in Ireland with Tonight, Tonight, 1979 and Bullet With Butterfly Wings.

Their albums include Gish (1991), Siamese Dream (1993), Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995), Adore [1998], and Machina/The Machines of God (2000).

2023 saw the release of the album ATUM, a rock opera presented in three acts, alongside a sold out North American tour.

Led by front man Billy Corgan, the band's previous Irish dates have included gigs at the SFX, Vicar Street, The Point and the Olympia Theatre.

Weezer

Weezer have sold over 35 million records worldwide since their debut album's release in 1994 and their hits include Buddy Holly, Undone (The Sweater Song), Say It Ain’t So, El Scorcho, Hash Pipe, Island In The Sun, Beverly Hills, and Pork and Beans.

Liam Gallagher and Take That have also announced Irish dates for next year.
