Irish singer-songwriter Christy Moore has announced three gigs at the National Concert Hall for May 2024.

The "intimate" gigs will take place at the Earlsfort Terrace venue on three consecutive Saturdays - 11, 18 and 25 May.

The singer also announced this week that he is to perform a large outdoor show at Live At Botanic Gardens in Belfast on 2 June 2024.

The singer is currently on a sold-out tour across Ireland, which is set to include 11 dates at Dublin's Vicar Street in November, December and January.

78-year-old Moore, whose hit songs include Lisdoonvarna, Ride On, Ordinary Man and Joxer Goes to Stuttgart, enjoys a strong fan base both domestically and abroad.

His recording career includes more than 30 solo albums and in 2007, he was named as Ireland's greatest living musician in RTÉ's People of the Year Awards.

In 2021, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the RTÉ Folk Awards.

The singer has enjoyed a 50-year career in music, both as soloist and with Planxty and Moving Hearts

Tickets for the NCH gigs are on sale now from the NCH while tickets for the Belfast show go on sale Friday 13 October via Ticketmaster.
