Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I've been singing with Ham Sandwich for 20 years; I have a cat called Mrs Boots and I got married last year!

How would you describe your music?

HamSandwicH. Photo credit: Ruth Medjber

Fun Indie/pop/rock with a smidge of mischief.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Karen O, Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks, Miley Cyrus. Generally, women who rock and manage to stay true to who they are while being in the music industry.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

One of the first proper gigs I went to at around 17/18 years old was The Strokes at The Edinburgh Corn Exchange. It was an unreal show and really kicked off a huge love of live music for me.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Never Mind The Zogabongs - Zig and Zag.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Since we are coming into autumn/wintertime I always love listening to music that’s darker and moodier and my go to is Fade Into You by Mazzy Star. The whole album So Tonight That I Might See is perfect for those long cold winter nights.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"Kiss me, please kiss me. Kiss me out of desire babe and not consolation". Last Goodbye - Jeff Buckley.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Conga - Gloria Estefan. I have absolutely loved this song for years and it’s so upbeat there’s no chance of feeling the slightest bit sad if that’s all you’re listening to!

Where can people find your music/more information?
