The family of Joe Dolan has announced a new tour for 2024 celebrating the music of the late singer.

The nationwide tour, called Remembering Joe Dolan - The Annual Joe Dolan Festival, will see Joe's younger brother Ben, who performed on stage with the late Dolan for 47 years, front and centre.

Also performing will be Joe Dolan’s niece Sandra, nephews Adrian and Ray, singer Karen Carroll and members of Joe’s original backing band.

The string of gigs come after a successful tour last year, which marked the 15th anniversary of Dolan's passing.

The 13-date tour includes dates in Clonmel, Tullamore, Limerick, Cork, Cavan, Kilkenny, Carrick-on-Shannon, Galway, Monaghan, Wexford, Kildare, Clare and Waterford, and will take place across January, February, March and April of next year.

Joe Dolan had many hits during his nearly 50 year career, including he and his band's first hit single The Answer To Everything in 1964, More and More, It’s You, It’s You, It’s You, You’re Such A Good Lookin’ Woman and his version of Blur’s The Universal with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.

He enjoyed strong popularity both domestically and internationally.

The Mullingar native died on St Stephen's Day 2007, aged 68, after falling ill.
