Kevin Kennedy, who played fan favourite Norman "Curly" Watts on Coronation Street, has celebrated 25 years of sobriety.
The British actor, who starred in the long-running ITV soap for 20 years, posted a photo of himself on social media platform X on Sunday, holding a sign that read, "25 years sober today".

The actor has spoken in the past of his alcoholism, and has said in previous interviews that he would drink a bottle of vodka on his way to the Coronation Street set each day during the height of his addiction.
He also consumed large amounts of wine, speed and cocaine at night.
After attending rehab, he went on to set up a Brighton-based addiction help centre with his wife Claire, called Kennedy Street. The charity offers workshops, a helpline and a text chat service, with the aim of helping people struggling with addiction.
Since leaving the soap in 2003, Kennedy has gone on to forge a career in musical theatre, most notably starring in the West End versions of Rock of Ages and We Will Rock You.
