How the Beatles Changed the World, 7.00pm, Sky Arts

To celebrate sixty years since the band’s iconic first appearance at Sunday Night at the Royal Palladium, Sky Arts is presenting an evening devoted to the Fab Four.

It starts with the fascinating story of the cultural, social, spiritual, and musical revolution ignited by The Beatles, with revealing interviews and rarely seen archival footage of the band.

This is preceded at 6pm by a repeat of Beatles Stories, where some of those who knew or brushed shoulders with the Beatles reveal their personal encounters with the Fab Four in Seth Swirsky's documentary.

Stuart Sutcliffe: The Lost Beatle, 9.20pm, Sky Arts

This documentary recounts the tragic tale of one of the earliest members of the world’s most popular band.

He was a young artist who was John Lennon's best pal and co-credited with giving them their distinctive look, but died within a year of quitting the band, at the age of just 21.

Featuring input from some of his closest friends and colleagues, this is the story of Stuart Sutcliffe.

Paddles at the ready as the couples take to the floor to perform their second routines in this year’s contest.

And this week things are getting serious for the celebrities as they know that one of them will be voted out in tomorrow night's results show. Fingers crossed, Angela Scanlon (above) keeps the Irish flag flying.

Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly keep things ticking over, while Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke give their thoughts on the dances and dancers.

Michael McIntyre's The Wheel, 8.35pm, BBC One

More fun with the perma-grinning McIntyre, who hosts the Saturday night game show that revolves around spin.

Alex Jones, Ellie Simmonds, Paddy McGuiness, Ranvir Singh, Rosie Ramsey, Seann Walsh and Sue Perkins take on a colossal spinning wheel and answer questions in the hope of securing a cash prize.

New or Returning Shows

The Graham Norton Show, 10.30pm, Virgin Media One

If you missed Graham Norton’s return to the Beeb last night, here’s an opportunity to catch up.

He launches his latest season with guests Kylie Minogue (above), Stephen Graham, David Mitchell and Mawaan Rizwan.

Kylie promotes her latest album Tension, while Stephen reflects on his acclaimed one-take restaurant-kitchen drama Boiling Point, now continuing as a BBC series.

David talks about Unruly, his new history of British royalty, while Mawaan discusses creating and starring in the surreal sitcom Juice.

Plus, singer-songwriter Mae Muller performs her current single Me, Myself & I.

Smokey Robinson Live in Hyde Park, 10.00pm, BBC Two

The soul and Motown legend – one of pop’s greatest songwriters - performs a rousing headline set as part of BBC Radio 2's Festival in a Day event, which took place in 2013.

Along with a little help from the crowd in London's Hyde Park, Smokey sings a selection of classics from his repertoire, including You've Really Got a Hold on Me, The Tears of a Clown, I Second That Emotion and The Tracks of My Tears.

Followed at 11pm by another airing of Marvin Gaye: Live at Montreux.

The soul singer's performance at the Swiss jazz festival in 1980 includes renditions of I Heard It Through the Grapevine, Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology) and What's Going On.

Then at 12.40am there’s A Night of Wonder as Tracey MacLeod introduces a 1995 studio concert for the BBC by Stevie Wonder (above).

The show includes performances of songs such as Higher Ground, Superstition, My Cherie Amour, Signed, Sealed, Delivered, You Are the Sunshine of My Life and I Just Called to Say I Love You.

New to Stream

Assassin Club, Sky Cinema & NOW

Henry Golding, Daniela Melchior, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Mooni Rapace, Sam Neil star in director Camille Delamarre’s action thriller.

The hunter becomes the hunted when an elite assassin (Golding) is given his final contract: to kill seven people around the world - only to discover the targets are equally skilled assassins hired to kill him.

His only shot to survive is to uncover the mysterious mastermind behind the deadly plot before it's too late.

Saturday Cinema

Creed, 9.45pm, RTÉ One

Boxing drama, starring Michael B Jordan, with Sylvester Stallone reprising his iconic role from the Rocky movies.

The son of a heavyweight boxer who died in the ring seeks to follow in the footsteps of the father he never knew.

He goes in search of his father's old rival-turned-best friend Rocky Balboa, who agrees to train the young fighter for a shot at the title - but the ageing champ is facing challenges of his own.

Family Flick

Cinderella, 6.35pm, RTÉ One

Romantic musical fantasy, starring Camila Cabello and Nicholas Galitzine, with Billy Porter, Idina Menzel, Pierce Brosnan and Minnie Driver.

An ambitious young woman who dreams of establishing a dress shop catches the eye of Prince Robert, who goes undercover as a commoner and invites her to an upcoming ball.

Rugby World Cup

Rugby World Cup 2023, 1.30pm, RTÉ2

The day’s coverage begins with Argentina v Chile (KO 2pm) in Pool D, held at Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.

Argentina have been South America's dominant force in rugby for some time, but Chile demonstrated how much they have improved by qualifying for their first World Cup.

Jacqui Hurley presents, with analysis from Bernard Jackman, Darren Cave and Jerry Flannery.

Then it’s Fiji v Georgia (KO 4.45pm) in a Pool C fixture, held at Stade de Bordeaux, with Jacqui and co remaining in studio.

The sides have met on six previous occasions with Georgia winning just one of them, but the most recent contest between the nations in 2021 saw honours end even at 15-15.

Rugby World Cup 2023, 7.30pm, Virgin Media One

Coverage then turns to Virgin Media One as Scotland face Romania (KO 8pm) in a Pool B encounter at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille.

Romania have shocked Scotland on two previous occasions, but the most recent of those victories was back in 1991, and Gregor Townsend's men will be expecting nothing less than a convincing victory.
