Pop star Robbie Williams has released the official trailer from the upcoming Netflix documentary series about his life and career.

Coinciding with the 25th anniversary of his solo career, the four-part documentary series will feature "hundreds of hours of intimate, never-before-seen personal archive spanning 30 years" as well as "exclusive access to Robbie".

Netflix also describes it as "a culture-defining series... the first of its kind to explore the real human being behind the salacious headlines."

Williams posted the trailer on his X account on Thursday afternoon

The series' executive producer is Asif Kapadia, who directed the 2010 film Senna, which explored the life of Brazilian Formula One racing driver Ayrton Senna. He was also behind the 2015 documentary Amy, about late soul singer Amy Winehouse.

In the clip, 49-year-old former Take That singer Williams is seen watching a quick-moving montage of clips from his career, before telling his child, who is off-screen, that he can watch the documentary when he is "much older".

A broadcast date has not yet been confirmed by Netflix, with the trailer saying the series is "coming soon".
