Speaking about the track, vocalist Diarmuid Comerford says, "Silhouette is a song about disappearing into yourself after a traumatic event, spinning in a personality vacuum with the only way out being the love and support of your special someone. Don't become a silhouette of yourself, find out who you really are and try to overcome."

Formed in 2018, the band released three singles in 2020 and Silhouette was recorded in Diarmuid’s studio, mixed by Daniel Fox (Gilla Band) with mastering by Darragh Nolan aka Astakalapa.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

At a towering 5ft 5", I am the tallest of six siblings (despite what they say, they're lying). I started my drumming journey by hitting an old leather couch with some drumsticks. I make a really nice Carbonara.

How would you describe your music?

Twisty, turny, high-energy, alt-rock.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Pixies, Metallica, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Tool, Led Zeppelin, Queens of the Stone Age and Stevie Wonder to name a few.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Metallica with support from Alice in Chains in the RDS when I was 12. I had never even heard of Alice in Chains but they instantly became one of my favourite bands. Being right next to a mosh pit at that age was a memorable experience. I am now a professional mosher at gigs.

What was the first record you ever bought?

The Black Album by Metallica and a best of Pantera on CD. I was on a spending spree!

What’s your favourite song right now?

The song I have on repeat most recently is Quicksand by David Bowie.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"I'm blue da ba de da ba da" - Eiffel 65.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Echoes by Pink Floyd, it's nice and long!
