Netflix has released the first teaser clip from its upcoming documentary series about David Beckham.

Beckham, a four-part documentary series, claims to tell the inside story of the global football star, from "his humble working-class beginnings in east London" to the "immense ups and downs" of his "rollercoaster" life.

Director Fisher Stevens and producer John Battsek were granted unprecedented access to Beckham, his wife Victoria, his family, his friends and his teammates for the series.

In the clip, Beckham's wife Victoria, as well as Beckham himself, recall the first time they met after she attended several of his games.

She recalls how much she was impressed by the attention he showed his family in the players' lounge, claiming that while other footballers were at the bar, he was chatting to his parents.

The clip ends with both Beckhams admitting their instant attraction to each other from the off.

Former Ireland footballer and Beckham's Manchester United teammate Roy Keane is set to feature as a contributor throughout the series, and will give an insight on what Beckham is like on and off the pitch.
