Ray is in gung-ho mode as he helps the injured Pete in Friday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
The drama begins as the lads back at the stag-do weekend camp realise that Pete and Ray have not returned to their tent.
Out in the woods, Ray tells Pete not to lose heart because they will be back home soon.
"No one gets left behind," Ray says. "Well, not on my watch."
"What are you, a marine?" asks Pete.
"Trade unionist," Ray replies.
