Pick of the Day
Neighbours, 2.00pm, RTÉ One and 6.00pm, RTÉ 2
Streaming on RTÉ Player and Amazon Freevee
If I ever went on Mastermind I’d choose questions about Neighbours 1986-1990 as my specialty subject. I was hopelessly addicted back then and it took a lot of effort before I weaned myself off the show.
Now, after heading off to TV Heaven last year, the iconic Aussie soap has been resurrected. My tears last year were not in vain.

The new run will see Neighbours stalwarts such as Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy), Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy) and Ryan Moloney (Toadie Rebecchi) back at the centre of the drama.
Former stars Guy Pearce (Mike Young), Annie Jones (Jane Harris – formerly 'Plain Jane Super Brain’), Candice Leask (Wendy Rodwell) and Emerald Chan (Sadie Rodwell) will be reprising their roles.
As we head back to Erinsborough, the residents of Ramsay Street are in high spirits while they prepare for a wedding. And amongst all the celebrations, a new family arrives in town.

Laura Kuenssberg: State of Chaos, 9.00pm, BBC Two
The BBC journalist examines Boris Johnson's premiership, having won the 2019 election by a landslide on his promise to ‘get Brexit done’.
