Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian have been added to the line-up for Virgin Media Television's Celebrity Gogglebox Ireland.
They’ll join Tommy Tiernan will feature alongside his podcast co-hosts Hector Ó hEochagáin and Laurita Blewitt for a one-off special edition of the show On Wednesday, 20 September at 9pm on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player.
More celebrity households taking part in the show will be announced in the coming days.
Speaking about taking part in the show, Dowling says, "People used to contact me on Instagram and say `OMG if they ever do a Celebrity Gogglebox you and Arthur should do it.’

"It’s so funny and when it came through, I was like Arthur oh my god… You are never going to believe it, because we watch the show and I just can't believe it, it's such an institution and it has been running for years and the show just gets better, we watch telly all the time and we talk a lot while we watch, just to sit down and be part of such a franchise like this we are so obsessed with the fact they asked us, and we were like straight away yes! When do you need us to start?"
Gourounlian added, "Seriously where to start? Being part of Gogglebox for this special is just beyond exciting for me. I will never ever forget watching the first season of The Show it was unforgettable. I mean especially doing with my husband it's going to be so much fun. I can't wait LET’S DO THIS!"

The Fleming family from Co Kerry will also be taking part. They are best known from son Tadhg's popularity on social media, where he often posts comedy videos from the family home.
Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona and Irish comedian Alison Spittle will also pair up for the special programme.

Gogglebox was first conceived in the UK on Channel 4 in 2013. The hit reality TV show sees groups of people - usually couples, friends or families - gather on the couch in their own homes, giving their reactions to television programmes of the week.
A spin-off featuring celebrity participants first aired in 2019 and the Irish version first hit screens in 2016.
