The band, who released their debut EP What's The Point during the summer, are Joe Kelly and Conall Ó Floinn on guitar, Stevie Healy on drums, and Eoin Killeen on bass and they formed while all four members were still at school.
Tickets priced €36 plus booking fee and are on sale now from Fall Right Into Place and Strange Brew.
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
We went interrailing for a month in August with the band and a few of our friends. We brought guitars with us and busked in a few different places. It was great craic. We played for the royal visit back in 2020 in a previous band. Conall has broken his left wrist three times and plays guitar with three fingers.
How would you describe your music?
I would say our music is very much a mixed bag. Based on what we've released, it’s probably closest to Indie rock than any other genre as we’ve a lot of lighter songs out. But at our gigs you’ll find heavier mosh-worthy tunes along with that.
Who are your musical inspirations?
We all have different tastes spanning across different genres, but a common inspiration for all of us is Fontaines D.C. We really love the energy they project through their music and we strive to emulate that in our own way. Also, Newdad are a big inspiration since they’re from Galway too.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
We all had different first gig experiences. Conall’s was a very small intimate Saw Doctors gig that his dad brought him to when he was around 11 or 12. Stevie went to The Academic in the Róisin Dubh when they were only young lads about 8 years ago. Joe saw Villagers in Seapoint with his Mum. Eoin’s was The Coronas in the Big Top.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Stevie: I got most of my collection from my Dad but the first record I bought was probably Igor by Tyler the Creator or Dogrel by Fontaines D.C.
Favourite Lyric of all time?
"Only say it if you’ll mean it in the morning, To me it seems a little more important" - Mean It in the Morning by Loyle Carner.
Favourite song at the moment?
One of our favourite songs at the moment is Frank by Just Mustard. While we were travelling this summer, it seemed to be always playing on the speaker.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It would have to be Leave the Door Open by Anderson Paak and Bruno Mars or I Was Made to Love Her by Stevie Wonder
Where can people find your music/more information?
People can find our music by searching Telebox on streaming platforms or you can add our social media handles @_telebox_ on Instagram or @telet0k on TikTok. We have a new EP called What is the Point? which came out this summer, so you can check that out too.
