Bananarama at the BBC, 8.40pm, BBC Two

There’s a night of various girl groups on BBC Two tonight, with this compilation being the pick of the bunch.

It features archive performances by the hugely successful pop group, featuring many of the 25 UK Top 40 singles they’ve released over the years.

It's a selection that covers those early days when the Fun Boy Three first introduced pop fans to the original line-up of Keren Woodward, Sara Dallin and Siobhan Fahey.

It also features their Stock, Aitken and Waterman years as well as the end of the 1980s when Siobhan left for new ventures and was replaced by Jacquie O'Sullivan.

Personal favourites? Robert DeNiro’s Waiting, closely followed by I heard a Rumour.

Pointless Celebrities, 7.40pm, BBC One

Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman (below) present another semi-sleb version of the general knowledge quiz.

Jim Rosenthal, Tom Rosenthal, Sonnaz Nooranvary, Brenton West, Kadeena Cox, Lauren Steadman, Mark Wingett and Trudie Goodwin try to come up with the least likely correct answers to a series of questions posed to members of the British public.

Parkinson, 11.35pm, BBC Four

This compilation of interviews conducted by the late, legendary Michael Parkinson goes under the subtitle of Hollywood Women.

It features highlights of Parky’s chat with leading actresses Bette Midler, Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Bette Davis, Raquel Welch, Shirley MacLaine, Gloria Swanson - and Miss Piggy (above).

Girls Aloud: Tangled Up Live from the O2, 9.40pm, BBC Two

Footage of the band's 2008 tour, filmed at the O2 Arena in London. Songs include Love Machine, Biology, Call the Shots and Sound of the Underground.

There’s also The Spice Girls at the BBC at 11.45pm. A selection of performances by the group on BBC shows from over the years, from their breakout number one Wannabe through to their final release Headlines.

9 Lives, 8.30pm, RTÉ2

This documentary is about volunteers who risked their lives to rescue animals from the areas that were abandoned in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

New to Stream

Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday, Sky Cinema & NOW

Scott Adkins, Ray Stevenson, Perry Benson, Sarah Chang, George Fouracres and Flaminia Cinque star in directors George and Harry Kirby's action-comedy.

The Accident Man is back and this time he must beat the top assassins in the world to protect the ungrateful son of a mafia boss, save the life of his only friend and rekindle his relationship with his maniacal father figure.

The Commuter, 9.30pm, RTÉ One

Here’s a pretty straightforward thriller, starring Liam Neeson, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson.

Michael MacCauley, an insurance salesman and former police officer, finds himself caught up in a conspiracy during his commute home.

After receiving a phone call from a mysterious stranger, Michael is forced to go undercover to save the lives of the other passengers on the train.

If you fancy another Liam Neeson movie, Taken is on Channel 4 at 9.20pm.

Wonder Woman 1984, 9.30pm, RTÉ2

Director Patty Jenkins' rollicking superhero action sequel, starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and Pedro Pascal.

Amazonian warrior Diana Prince must contend with businessman Maxwell Lord, whose desire for extreme wealth sends the world down a path of destruction.

This all happens after the Dreamstone, an ancient artefact that grants wishes, goes missing.

Diana also has to contend with a shy work colleague – played by Kirsten Wiig - who obtains superhuman powers.

The End of the Tour, 9.45pm, TG4

Fact-based and acclaimed drama, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Jason Segel and Anna Chlumsky.

A journalist is hired to conduct an interview with author David Foster Wallace, and spends five days accompanying the writer.

Over the course of their time together, an unusual bond seems to develop - but it remains unclear how honest each is being with the other.

Family Flick

The Witches, 6.35pm, RTÉ One

Co-writer/director Robert Zemeckis's take on the beloved Roald Dahl fantasy, starring Anne Hathaway, Octavia Spencer, Stanley Tucci, and narrated by Chris Rock.

In 1967, an orphaned boy goes to live with his grandmother, only to find himself the prey of diabolical witches disguised as glamorous women.

Heading to a seaside hotel seems like a great way to escape, but in an unfortunate twist of fate, the world's Grand High Witch is gathering her coven at the same resort, and has a nefarious plan in store.
