Schemer Gwen's time behind the bar in McCoy's looks set to be very short indeed in Sunday's Fair City on RTÉ One and the RTÉ Player.
The drama begins as Gwen tells Zak and Orla in The Hungry Pig: "I'm excited about my first day."
"Great, because the cleaners are in and they need a hand," Orla replies.
"It's hardly a management thing, is it?" says Gwen.
"What makes you think you're manager?" smiles Zak.
Later in McCoy's, Orla squares up to Gwen.
"Your CV, it's total fiction," she says.
"That's a lie," says Gwen unconvincingly.
"Really?" says Orla. "Because I rang the first three pubs that you listed and, Gwen, they've never even heard of you..."
