Around 70,000 revellers made the trek to Stradbally, Co Laois on Friday as Ireland's largest music and arts festival, Electric Picnic, officially kicked off.
The weather played ball on day one as campers hauled in precious cargo for the weekend onto the campsites.
Headlining on Friday was US pop star Billie Eilish, preceded by Ireland's own global megastar, Niall Horan.
