Szarr describes his new track as "A love letter to somebody very beautiful, in my case the ocean itself."
Tell us three things about yourself . . .
I've travelled to over 40 countries so far, I speak six languages and I nerd about fantasy movies.
How would you describe your music?
I would say my music feels free, fun, and multicultural.
Who are your musical inspirations?
I find a lot of inspiration in individual indie artists, from all over the world but I love the work of RY X, Rihanna, and the Weeknd. I love it when musicians blend different genres and create something fresh and new. This is what I enjoy the most with my music.
What was the first gig you ever went to?
That was fun. I went to a show of the Pussycat Dolls and the support act was Lady Gaga. I remember thinking wow this Gaga will blow up. The whole show was very pop, very cool.
What was the first record you ever bought?
Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River. Iconic. Timbaland’s beats are magic to me and I was obsessed with the whole era.
What’s your favourite song right now?
Right now, it's Doja’s Paint the Town Red. Simple beat but such a cool vibe and mood. It's on my daily repeat list.
Favourite lyric of all time?
Wow, that's a hard question. There are so many good lyrics. If I had to choose one hmm maybe: "Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don’t know why" Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die. It’s not just the song, the whole album is still today a lyrical masterpiece without a doubt. In my opinion. Just timeless.
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I love that question. I am obsessed with music and music is my life, so really hard to answer. I have to say Rosalia and the Weekend - La Fama. A great art piece I can listen to forever.
